I mean, Hatred was a dogshit mass shooter simulator that banked on a bunch of Gamergater goons screaming about censorship. The only reason that game floated to the top was because Steam decided not to stock it due to its obvious troll bait nature, and a bunch of anime sig conservaturds flooded comment sections and Twitter about it. Shit, it's not even that good of a game to begin with. Everything about Hatred was bad faith from the beginning. Postal is edgy and raunchy, but it doesn't take itself so ass-blastingly seriously as a game like Hatred did. It's a fun, colourful sandbox where you have a dedicated pee button, fuck up civilians in the same way you might take out pedestrians in GTA, start fires, commit senseless violence for the fun of it and just overall goof around. Postal might as well be South Park, compared to Hatred's 13 Reasons Why - something that revels in over-the-top comedy versus some pretentious, joyless drivel that depicts a disenfranchised person taking drastic action against a world they feel abandoned by and exploits/romanticizes their actions for some stupid fucking drama points. Postal is stupid, and arguably only exists in the first place to be offensive, but Hatred is a cynical, calculated turd with no redeeming qualities as a piece of media.
