Havent been to a bar in over 2 years. But my friends that I normally hang out with on Saturday night are out of town.

So like, what do I DO while Im there that is more socially inviting than reading a book in a corner, but less creepy than walking around to different tables all like Hey whats up, new friends!

Ive been in my apartment alone for 2 days now. Im pretty introverted, but Im starting to get cabin fever. I work overnights during the week so my biological clock isnt going to be letting me sleep any time soon.

Ill probably just go order some food and a beer or two and then leave if I dont run into someone I know or something.

I go to bars by myself all the time with lots of success. Even if I go with friends I often break off from them

Well that was the most pointless $22.25 Ive spent in the two years that I havent been to a bar. Thats why I dont go anymore. No regrets, though. I needed to get out of the house and do something.

First bar, I walked in, saw how crowded it was then walked out.

2nd bar, I didnt even go inside before I realized I wasnt going to have a good time in there.

Luckily there are 3 bars in close proximity. So I went in the last one. Probably just as many people in there as the first two, but its a bigger bar so it doesnt feel as crowded.

I spotted a former co-worker standing by himself. I dont k ow the guy well, but I thought fuck it, ill talk to him while I drink a beer and wait on my wings. After my wings were served I ordered another beer and I spotted two current co-workers. I sat at their table and said whats up to them while I ate my wings and drank my 2nd beer. The music was loud and my voice doesnt carry well in these types of situations, so when I was done eating and drinking I left.

Now Im back home drinking alcohol that I paid ten times less for than I would at the bar, and playing Breath of the Wild.
