The cop was responding to a call for an open structure in Forth Worth at about 2:30 a.m. when he saw someone inside the home, standing near a window, CBS reported. The officer, who was in the backyard, felt threatened and pulled out his gun, the Fort Worth Police Department said in a statement. Put your hands up. Show me your hands! the officer can be heard yelling in bodycam footage before firing through the window, WFAA reported. The resident later identified as Atatiana Jefferson, 28 was killed in the 3-second gunfire and pronounced dead at the scene. They provided his "bodycam footage" and from it it's obvious the guy made numerous errors that a cop should not do when investigating a odd home situation. From the footage it looks like he didn't knock, he didn't announce who he was or make his presence known, he snuck around to the side / back of the home instead of trying to enter in the front, and drew his weapon, gave a order and didn't give the person enough time to yield and follow his instruction as he immediately fired afterward. Sounds like he killed a minority as well, and knowning Texas and their crooked cops they'll try to get him off scott free. Of course, cops are trying to partially incriminate the home owner for the situation, because they told the media the owner owned a gun, but they didn't know it's location before and after the shooting. This guy is totally gonna walk. If he was worried things could go wrong and that he could be attacked he should have called for backup.
