Current Events > Need help in Resident Evil 0, *spoilers* but NOT beyond where I'm at please

I'm at the part where you flip the breaker switches to make 70 volts, then Rebecca gets attacked by monkeys and falls through the floor and is hanging on for dear life (despite there's a room below her? wtf?). I ran through the monitor room to get to where she is, but it seems like a waste of time since it won't let me pull her up from there. Like why even unlock that door then? The steam turns off as well, do I have to go that way? And should I equip the grenade launcher of the shotgun for this? I just am frustrated with this part because it doesn't make sense to me. I don't ask on game boards because they are notorious to be filled with posters that don't get the NO SPOILERS past my point thing.
