Well I guess it depends on what you're in for. When I was in a wheelchair ages ago, it was absolutely understandable to have trouble moving a leg that hasn't been exercised in years. Recently I've started going to strengthen my right leg. I haven't been in a wheelchair for years, but I have had issues the past few years.
A lot of exercises seem easy... for the first set. Then suddenly exercises get significantly more difficult to do. Going to PT made me realize just how little strength I have in this leg. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

i was in for the same thing, my right leg. wasn't nearly as bad though, i was never in a wheelchair. i hurt it one day running, was in very mild pain for a few years until Obamacare let me go to PT. diagnosis was simply that it was tight and weak. i didn't have much of a problem with the PT so probably not as bad as you are even now. though it still doesn't feel 100% to this day.
