People have praised Phoenix and the rest of the cast and crew for delivering a fresh take on the psychotic terrorist and explaining what set him on his course for destruction. While it seems like most people are happy with the film, there's one person who is not: Jared Leto. The actor played the Joker in Suicide Squad and wasn't exactly a fan favourite, however it's been revealed that he was upset that Warner Bros. didn't want to pursue more films with him and instead opted for a new Joker film The Hollywood Reporter claims Leto felt 'alienated and upset' because of the move. It sounds like he was keen for Warner Bros. to have him in further movies, whether they be in Suicide Squad sequels or in stand alone ones. Jared should probably stay off the internet for a while, especially if he wants to avoid the news that popped up yesterday. Joaquin Phoenix has revealed he's keen to star in a sequel of Joker. The actor sat down with Popcorn with Peter Travers, where he told the host that he's dead keen for another movie so they can see just how deep the rabbit hole goes with the Joker. "I wouldn't have thought of this as my dream role," Phoenix said. "But now, honestly, I can't stop thinking about it. "I talked to [director] Todd a lot about what else we might be able to do, in general, just working together, but also specifically, if there's something else we can do with Joker that might be interesting. "So, it ended up being a dream role. He's not even starting off in a one off Batman movie. He's a side character in Suicide Squad. He's signed up for a solo Joker movie, a movie with Harley Quinn and who knows what else. Then they slap a damaged tattoo on his forehead and he gets a whole 15 minutes of being the Joker in a movie (not including his Joker texting Harley off screen). But hey maybe he can redeem himself next time. He's just gotta wait until he's called up for the next movie. Hopefully a solo one. Oh wait he misses out and WB isn't returning his calls. Welp. But there were two specific villains who stunk in every way and will probably never be brought back. Like Harley Quinn was in the same movie was the same crappy dialogue but her charisma pulled her through. He was under the impression hed have more screen time, then most of it was cut, and the movie was terrible. Hes a good actor but actors can only do so much with a bad script. The media loves to play everything up. Im sure hes not particularly upset about the Joker movie. Hes been in the industry a long time and he knows full well some things just dont work out, plus hes already got another comic movie coming up, in a leading role this time. If anything, hes probably bummed he hasnt had a major award-worthy role in a while, but hes had a good career.
