Basically every corporation is afraid to speak out against china because they have lots of money and they are silencing people who do speak out against China. Like it is ok for people to openly bash trump and stuff but when it comes to China all bets are off you better not say anything bad about them.

However, that guy is considered a domestic terrorist against the chinese state because he recognises Tibet. And Mercedes is part chinese owned.
