I didn't know AYAotD was a show, but I watched Goosebumps and read the books when I was a kid, so I guess that. I was more into stuff on the SciFi channel like Tales from the Crypt and Sightings.

Are You Afraid of the Dark because they have good endings(well, not all of them) and closure, where as Goosebumps have some twist or bad endings.

I loved both, but I have to give it to Goosebumps. As a kid, I collected all the books. I loved them. But Are you afraid of the Dark was an amazing show. Tbh, I cant remember all the episodes because its be like way over a decade. Haha.

Loved the Goosebumps books growing up. Still have the whole collection of it stored away. As for the TV show, I remember watching it to nitpick on what details weren't accurate and what they were leaving out of the show.

AYAOTC was a better show. But Goosebumps was very true to its source. It knew that it was goofy. We got two quality kids horror shows so everybody won.

Goosebumps was not quality. Objectively, it was poorly acted, written, and very cheesy.

Haunting Hour was RL Stines TV redemption for that dumpster fire.

I grew up with AYAotD, so that. The Goosebumps books were nice though, but I saw only a few episodes of the show which I didn't like much.
