My progress toward watching the entire MCU for the first time.

The visuals were trippy and stunning, loved every moment of those action scenes. The premise was great, I love how it established something much greater in threat, and showed the dangers of not paying attention while driving (I'm pretty sure that's the point of the scene, given the disclaimer they had at the very end of the credits). My only issue was that there was such a huge tonal whiplash throughout the whole movie (well, at least until Strange found out how he could heal his hands after science failed him...the movie was pretty serious until then). The MCU has always thrown in jokes where they probably wouldn't fit but I felt this one was the most egregious to the point I got annoyed at it. That's where the "mixed bag" comes in. The movie would've been excellent otherwise.

That said it got me excited and wanting to see the next Doctor Strange when it comes out, if only for the unique and fun visuals.
