Current Events > TBH I think they kinda flubbed the ending of Link's Awakening remake. (Spoilers)

I know I'm nitpicking here, but it really stuck out to me and was wondering if anyone on CE felt the same way.

Each of the little snippets showing all the island folks fading away lasted a few seconds longer in the original Game Boy version, and it had a little more of a visual effect with some flashing and shit, so all in all it felt a little more dramatic to me. The Switch version feels like it's rushing through it all, which kinda takes away from the emotion of seeing everyone fade away.

Again, nitpicking but it's one of the few Zelda games I really love, and the ending was a big part of it.

Godnorgosh posted...
I still thought the game would have been better if it were revealed that the Owl is the true villain, and you have to go through another 8 dungeons in order to save Koholint.

Haha, that would be interesting to say the least. I wonder what would happen if Link actually tried to set out from the island. Would he just end up in another shipwreck and wind up back at Koholint again?

Also for that fucking matter, how did Link end up in the Windfish's dream in the first place, just from getting shipwrecked. The fact it's flying through the air at the end proves that it wasn't just Link's dream.
