Anyone play it over the weekend? I was really surprised at the Outbreak vibes and it also reminded me of good memories playing Left 4 Dead as well.
The survivors side is a bit more of an arcade take on survival horror, where you still have to be careful with your resources but it's also very chaotic in a fun way and almost anything can happen. I really like the Mastermind side too. It's so cool being the architect of your own survival horror gauntlet, crafting jump scares and challenging gauntlets of zombie hallways. I was not expecting it to play this well! The RE engine gives everything a very well-crafted look, this is definitely no cheap Umbrella Corps spin-off. I just hope it has enough players and life in it when it comes out. --- I've decided to put my fears behind me. I'm not going back. https://i.imgtc.ws/2Q88rI4.gif - https://i.gifer.com/E07R.gif ... I did indeed!
I enjoyed it and it's definitely a step up from Umbrella Corps/Operation Raccoon City, but it honestly had some Metal Gear Survive vibes. Solid gameplay, because it's basically just ripped from RE2, but the rest all feels a bit sterile? I did have fun as the mastermind though, but it needs a lot of balancing. Mr X just seems a bit too powerful. Also, it's in dire need of some sort of ping/emote system. I can't see myself playing it again, but then, I was never a fan of the Mercenaries modes either, so it's probably just not for me. Need me some plot. --- Still the number one reason for the success of the Internet. Salutations, citizens! Jack Man here. https://www.youtube.com/user/JackManPlays ... Copied to Clipboard!
