Some episodes with Ron and Leslie remind me of my relationship with my coworker. She annoys me just like how Leslie annoys Ron and gets me to do stuff, which I only do because we're actually great friends. Lol the painting episode where Leslie nags Ron to do the speech, my coworker did the exact same thing to me and I also yelled out fine omg lol. Made me laugh

S1 (which is incidentally only 6 episodes) is something you slog through to get the show rolling. S2 is good with occasional flashes of greatness. The very end of S2 onward when Rob Lowe and Adam Scott get added to the cast is GOAT-tier.

Season 1 is awful. The rest of the show is top tier comedy.

I almost think it's better to watch a few of the later seasons before watching season 1. By the time you watch it you fall in love with the characters and won't hate it as much. That's kind of how it worked for me since I started watching in season 4.

I think it's amazing that I went from loathing Jean Ralphio to finding him hilarious. And of course samesies with Tom, who is by all accounts super annoying but you love how the characters make fun of him and roll their eyes at him.

Anyway people overexaggerate how bad "season 1" is, a season that's just a meager 6 episodes. And the only bad thing about it was that it was like that other awfully cringey show The Office, before it became its own thing in season 2 (that being, an amazing show)

Parks and Rec doesn't have any bad episodes. Season 1 is still funny just not as funny compared to the rest of a genius show.

I'm glad they ditched Mark though, he was kind of just....there.

And this. I don't hate Mark like everyone else seems to, he's just there. The straight man. Not particularly funny but harmless enough.

It's not that he's bad, it's just that Chris and Ben are such godly additions to the cast and changed the show in a great way. I can't think of any other show that added cast members later on and it became so incredible afterwards.

I'm rewatching it too, and surprised over how long Mark is actually in it. Dude is boring as hell and the show got waaaaaay better once he left.
