Okay, huge progress. Build house, storeroom, moon bay, upgraded max depth for seamoth.

I havent got goliath yet. Nor the mecha tho. But i have explored quite a bit.

Explored the alien base in tjat island, got the teleporter running.

Accidentally wandered into this area with "underwater river" those chemical streams heavier than water , and actually found a another alien base but sealed with force field also got killed by the reaper, go back, took my seamoth back and noped out of there
I will explore the degasi survivor base in the 500m depth next.

Tbf i am kinda biased because I absolutely love diving and snorkeling. I have snorkeled in several places in SE asia. Even the spookiest creature is fascinating for me. I try to scan everything and have cost me my life twice so far in the game haha

The gameplay itself is also pretty tight. It is always feel good everytime you got upgrades that allow you to explore further. The sense of discovery is amazing.

The story is also intriguing. This blew my expectations in every way possible.

So finally explored the alien base.

So basically, the story is revealed. The planet is under quarantine because of the thing that infected you. The alien cannon is to prevent something getting in or out. I already got the escape rocket blueprint too.

So basically i have to get the bacteria infection cured so i can leave the planet because it will just shoot me down again.

So basically the bacteria is everywhere. I thought ypu got it while being bitten by that small leech thing living in the aurora reactor room. But it is everywhere. You are infected the moment you eat that first fish or even the moment you touch the water because if the log is right, the bacteria is IN everything.

What i dont get is if the planet inhabitant co evolve, how is that there are still those sickly sharks exist?

Honestly, the Prawn Suit is my least favorite vehicle. Just so clunky. And it's hard to notice in any other situation since gravity isn't a thing, but you want to make sure you backup a save whenever you go out in it because you fall through the world sometimes.

I get this 100%, i'm the same with games that have extreme heights. I struggle to play Assassins Creed and I cannot play Mirror's Edge. It makes me physically ill, I get motion sickness and it sometimes makes me vomit.

so i built a second base 600 meters deep in the blood kelp area. it's better because alot of resource deposit sits there, and alot of rare materials too for advanced building. my prawnsuit finally have grappling hook and drill arm which makes resource gathering 10x easier. i need to build several scanner rooms in the surrounding area too i think.

also some thing spoke to metelepathically. that really startled the shit out of me. probably one of the builder of these artefacts and it seems they are psychic because i dont think it comes from PDA or radio. the visual effect is similar to mesmers hypnotizeing , so it could be that sentient creatures on this planet are PSI users

I got lucky and found a big wreck an found 3 of them inside and scan them. Got it immediately lol.

The second base was proper and ready in such a short time because it is so easier to gather the materials. My second base already have moonpool to charge my moth and prawn, nuclear powered and uber reinforced.

Dont look as cool as my surface base tho. It have pretty gardens and tons of movie poster

So I just settled down in the starting area, build a base with an aquarium and retired.

i remember when Epic Games Store offered this free for a week or so, and I passed cause I didn't think it would be interesting. Then a few months later I watched a blind Let's Play of it and loved it. Really wish I had gotten it back then. Oh well.

Also, in the LP, the dudes first Seamoth had gotten attacked by a Reaper Leviathan, and he noped right the fuck out. Came back for it like 10 episodes later, and because of the way the game handles certain off-screen stuff, he got within range of the Reaper and it said his Seamoth was destroyed, so he thought it had held onto it to lure him back for it lol. Was pretty funny actually.

I got my moth destroyed when i wandered outside the game area and got chewed by the ghost leviathan. Now that shit is legit spooky. Thankfully i saved just 5 minutes earlier so i just reloaded.

Yeah I managed to scan one by switching fast between glider and scanner. When they attack, evade with glider then switch suddenly with scanner and scan their head.

Ita kinda like blue whales in some sense

i was in my prawn and travelling to the lost river. suddenly the game bugged and the prawn fell into the ground and glitched outside the game, falling forever. i used console command to get me back but the prawn is lost.

and they disabled the achievement too because of it. damn

my experience just got ruined

Welcome to Subnautica

Well okay so i installed a mod to make achievement available again. (And it worked)

then use console command to get everything back (prawn + upgrades + inventory)

then built cyclops, build tiny 3rd base for checkpoint, found the alien research facility

turns out the builders arent from this planet. They just use this planet for quarantine research base. Well thats kinda mean for the inhabitan of this planet

So basically next objective is 1400 meters deep in which none of my vehicles are capable of diving that deep yet.

I think i have to move the base of operation deeper so it dont take long to recharge.

Also TIL there is a modding community for this game. Some of them feels like cheat, but that locker sorting one seems really neat.

Oh yeah, i also found out you can grapple on leviathans with your prawns, so you can basically fight them like spider man. Just hold the cable, grapple on and punch them when they are near.

When I was nearing the end, my prawn suit glitched and acted as if it was on land instead of underwater. I ended up stuck way at the bottom of the world. Had to craft a new one to go back to the first one, but luckily it still let me use the drill arm and boosters despite not being equipped on my new one.

yeah, prawn suit really is glitchy. i got stuck on random tree thing before and have to reload.

thank god for console command tho, i ain't want to gather ingredients for those again, especially when prawn suit is the one that made gathering ingredients easier

Now that you're getting down deeper and building bases, keep in mind that you can make the game unwinnable. It sets you back to whatever the last base you were in (including your Cyclops) when you die. If you lose your vehicle, die, and end up in your base with materials to make a new one, you're just stuck hundred of feet underwater.

I believe i have reached the endgame. Build my final base just before the entrance to the lava section.

Navigated trough the lava section, evaded that horror that is sea dragon. (Wtf with that thing lol. Big shit literally shoots fireball. The creatures in this game have been really plausible and feel like they can exist within the biomes thet live in. This sea emperor is like normal videogame enemy that literally shoots fire) it was kinda awesome tho. With prawn grappling hook, it kinda feel like attack on titan. I managed to hurt it a little and probably can kill it if i spend enough time, but it's not really worth it.

Going 3D maneuver gear was pretty epic tho.

The final location

well this explain everything. So basically i have to find some samples to hatch the egg. The sea emperor is sapient and telepathic (kinda like giant mesmer but actually sapient). I feel really bad since she's (okay the animals in this planet dont really have genders, but w/e the voice is female) trapped in that relatively small tank for hundreds to thousands of years :(


Still one final question


Does the sea emperor don't want or cannot communicate with the builders? It seems like she cannot communicate telepathically as she does to humans , so the aliens think she id just regular animal and not sapient and cannot communicate with then to make a cure.

Or the emperor dont like the aliens because they captured her and kept her in the facility so she don want to cooperate.

Might be both. The lack of communication led to some conflict between them.

Yeah, the aliens were just incapable of hearing her. Possibly because they had their own form of telepathy. Possibly because they were semi-mechanical. Possibly because they were part plant. There are tiny things in various logs that may indicate each of those things.

I really enjoyed that game. Exploring and building was so fun. The scary times were losing which way was up while exploring wrecks and watching my air go down or forgetting where my vehicle was and trying not to drown lol. Intense

That's it. I have escaped the planet. About 35 hours of pure awesomeness.

It is so sad you have to say goodbye to the 2 cuddlefishes i have. You can say farewell too and get hugged :(

Also the sea emperor too.

What an amazing ride this game was.

Also in the end how the fuck we ended up owing 1 trillion credits to the company that we work for? Do we held accountable to what happened to aurora? If i were the main character i would just go back and live the rest of my days with the sea emperor babies and cuddlefishes.

I reported the coordinate with the F8 function. But since they seem to have moved on to below zero, i dont think the base game will ever be fixed

Every item you pick up and use is deemed property of the company you work for. The AI mentions that when you pick up your first diamond.
