The University of Kansas was forced to apologize after a raunchy Snoop Dogg performance greatly offended PARENTS who attended the opening of the men's and women's basketball teams in Allen Fieldhouse!!

He performed at the end of "Late Night in the Phog", a pre season celebration following scrimmages as right off the bat he offended audiences when he sang Akon's hit "I Wanna F*** You"

He is featured in the song and is seen in multiple videos using CASH CANNONS while scantily clad women surrounded him

The performance drew alot of criticism with people finding his display "offensive" and "not appropriate" in a college atmosphere with freshman students in the crowd

Athletic Director, Jeff Long issued a statement and said "We apologize to anyone who was offended by Snoop Dogg performance at Late Night. We made it clear to the entertainer's managers that we expected a clean version of the show and took additional steps to communicate to our fans, including moving the artist to the final act of the evening to ensure that no basketball activities would be missed if anyone did not want to stay for this show. I take full responsibility for not thoroughly vetting all the details of the performance and offer my personal apology to those who were offended. We strive to create a family atmosphere at Kansas and fell short".

They told ESPN that this is not the direction they wanted to take and said it was not the right way to display it for family friendly events

Okay, the beginning of the story made me think that this was an event where there were a bunch of little kids or something. This doesn't seem that bad for college students and whatnot

His choice of song seems inappropriate given what was advertised, but the image seems fine even with the scantily clad women (which seems perfectly normal as far as I can tell for a college sporting event). It doesn't seem to be offensive at all though. Seeing as none of the voting options seems to fit for me though I won't be voting on this, as I said the song was inappropriate but not offensive.

- Not knowing WTF his songs are like before booking him to perform
- Thinking sexual-themed content is inappropriate for college students
- Thinking a t-shirt and shorts is "scantily clad"
- Thinking that's the attire of "literally pole dancers" (presumably of the gentleman's club variety and not just people doing it for exercise, cause then that's an extra LOL @ being outraged)

I agree that they probably shouldn't have booked him in the first place if people think this is offensive. This is actually quite tame for Snoop Dawg

I saw Snoop at a college homecoming event a couple years ago and there was no outrage or controversy. He was smoking blunts the whole time with dancers around him while rapping uncensored. Also one of his crew busted out a gigantic inflatable penis at one point. It just leads me to the conclusion that Florida is much cooler than Kansas.
