OMG ****** Broadway where its like any downtown designated bar district in any city. Guess what? Austin does it better and you pay half the price for drinks and the street is open to pedestrians. I just do not understand why anybody would waste their money and vacation time to visit a city over a *******ing street?

Nashville is one of the few larger cities i would consider living in.

Austin's like portland. It's a cool city but the secret's out and it's over populated. Which is made even worse by some of the types of people who have flocked there......sorry, real talk

I just got back from nashville and did the whole broadway thing. I spent 6 hours walking from one bar to the next to see how it was. none of it was any good.

walk down to the river and go 2 blocks off broadway to Beer Sellar. it's totally chill, has the best patrons, the best music, and is the best bar in Nashville.

I lived in Staten Island, Philly, Grand Rapids, Atlanta, and St. Louis besides here.

Don't twist my words, I never said I loved Nashville, it's hardly the worst city i've lived near though. It's a mid level city.

It's a cool city with a fairly laid back ambiance. Not too populated. I'm not super into the honky tonk bars, but downtown is pretty nice. Vibrant music scene. Cost of living and tax rates are reasonable

If I'd stuck with music I probably would be living in Nashville

No, sound like you are. like a said, honky tonks aren't really my scene. Broadway is for tourists. That's like judging all of new Orleans off of bourbon street or San Francisco off of fisherman's wharf.

Nashville traffic is some of the worst I have ever seen. It makes bigger cities seem reasonable. Mother fuckers will turn around in the middle of a fucking highway in rush hour

Atlanta for sure. Granted I haven't lived in Staten Island since the 80s and i'm sure it's gone way downhill.

I haven't been and it's a place me and some friends really want to spend a weekend at. I live in Texas and Austin is fun, but the people totally suck. Nashville seems like it's Austin without the hippies and hardcore liberals. Drinks aren't cheap in Austin either. Are you telling me beers are $16 in Nashville?

If you don't know the specific cheap beer the bar sells than it's a guaranteed 10 bucks, liquor is 16 regardless. If I were to compare Nashville and Austin, Austin would be the thinker and Nashville would be the emotional feeler.
