It's true.

People who buy scratch and win tickets don't even have to scratch the whole thing to see if they won because all you need to do is scratch he serial number and have them check it if you won or loss since that serial number is how it determines who won or loss and what amount..

That's why you'll see old people just pick tickets from a centre and have the person scratch the number off for them to see if they won and you waste no time.

Odds differ by region, but all WCLC scratchers have the same house edge... and it's an abysmal 50%, so scratchers should only be done for entertainment purposes.

However, I did know this. Seemed relatively obvious, I feel, from the few scratch-offs I've gotten around Christmas time and the like. But maybe the directions on the Connecticut lottery tickets offer more guidance on how to redeem them than the others?

When you think about it, it makes sense. I mean, how would a machine know if you scratched the rest of it?
I've dabbled in them, but they're meh. Some are slightly fun.
If you scratch around the area, you can usually get a 3 number code letting you know how much you won: fiv means five, etc. If it is just random, you usually lost.
