i always get intimidated that I'm going to lose my arm to it or something though.

At least my readings are decent for the most part I think, 111/64 isn't a bad score.... right?

You'll pass out. It's low but not that low. Mine used to be 140/85 in January and is now 115/75 typically.

If it gets too low you an have heart and/or brain damage. Might want to see a doctor.

I mean, if you're typically at that number then sure - your body has acclimated to it, basically.

Well I had pre-diabetic issues at that point and hypertension was one side effect, but I've since then changed my diet and lifestyle around completely.

If your BP is low then I'd recommend uptaking more salt in the diet, maybe some potassium too to help it out, that'll help you retain water and balance out blood circulation a bit better, and takes care of any headaches, migraines, fatigue, etc.

I've got issues on the opposite end of the scale, actually. I take blood pressure medication to lower it, because I naturally sit around 160-180, unchecked. I remember one time I was getting ready for chemo, and the nurses stopped it because I clocked in at around 210/whatever and that was essentially heart attack territory.

It was that high because I had worked myself into a bad mood that morning. I had to really pee, and of course they make you give a urine sample every time before chemo, and normally they're really on the ball and quick about getting me admitted but I remember it taking an unusually long time, like several hours. So, I'm just sitting there, trying to not piss on myself, getting madder and madder at everybody lol and my blood pressure sky rockets as a result.

Yeah diet helps the most, going on a low-carb diet and supplementing nutrients like potassium and zinc helps a lot as well. Took me about 6 months to lose the weight (60lbs) and lower the BP, which basically took away all the health problems I had before.

Damn dude that sucks. I'd feel like a firework ready to pop if I had a BP that high on a daily basis. Are you doing anything else to lower it besides medication, if any?

I'll be a physician in less than a year. Don't listen to these people TC.

Your blood pressure is pretty much as perfect as it gets for a young person. If it gets super low you can feel lightheaded, and if it gets super super low you can die. But that shouldn't happen unless you get insanely sick or lose a bunch of blood in a major injury or something.

Yeah some of those machines squeeze really hard. The one at my doctors office feels like its gonna give me a bruise if it stayed inflated a second or two longer.

They always take my blood pressure no matter what Im there for, but I never ask what its at or if its good. Im sure theyd say if there was a problem.

Is 111/64 "really really low?" I thought perfect was 120/70 because I just measured 120/71 and the nurse was like aw so close

I mean it's definitely lower than normal, but I wouldn't call that "really really low."

Nah, not really >_>

The REALLY messed up thing is I didn't get on blood pressure medication UNTIL my oncologist fucking prescribed it for me. Over the years, all the other doctors I've seen are like "hmm, blood pressure's pretty high..." and that train stops essentially there. I'm glad it's being (relatively) managed now.

You've got great BP. When I nearly died after surgery a few years ago mine dropped to 60/20 and I had to be air lifted to another hospital.
