People in his own circles are not all being complete yes-men to him like he needs. But he knows that the internet is swimming with blind trump fans who will back him up no matter what he says. So when he's feeling down, since he doesn't have the mental fortitude to cope with people criticizing him, he just makes a post on twitter and receives a dopamine rush from the yes-men who lap up his posts online. Then we get tweets like the one this week where he said he deserved a nobel peace prize.
