Also, he can put enemies to sleep/poison so Erik spends 1 less turn setting up knife combos

Yeah get him nastier knives and the poison/sleep knife skills to help setup Eriks combo 1 turn faster, Slyv should basically be pure support with knife + shield, he gets great buffs/debuffs, can cure status, and gets a full party heal that scales off Charm. Attacking with him should be a pretty rare thing aside from inflicting status for Erik

Taking a break to do some casinoing. I still have no clue how Slime Quest works >_> There's way too much shit going on with those instructions

How do I know which one is a hot machine? She just gives me random stats for all of them.

No, it's just to identify which ones they are

The further in the day it is, the more plays the machines will have and the more data there is to establish a pattern

The Sword of Light is really good for when you get it. I specced for it when I got it and had a good time.

Ah, so youre where I am. Honestly I am not switching. But that is also partly because Im working towards Big Banga right now. I also have considerable damage on Greatswords compared to just single sword, but that might be partly because I have no sword investment (damage up tiles)

I barely touched the Tickington stuff. But I heard there's an exploit for farming skill seeds there >_>

If you go to the ice cave in DQ4, there's a cannibox that respawns in the boss room that drops a seed of skill. And it respawns there everytime you leave Tickington and go back to 3D mode. I havent tried it yet though

Also, while I was doing quests in the Mini Medal Academy, I noticed you straight up can go to the girls' dorm at night and talk to all of them in their underwear and none of them bat an eye.

I was messing around in 2D mode a bit and noticed that everyone has titles in the status screen, but some of them are goofy >_> Like Erik's is "Luminary's Bosom Buddy" and Serena's is "Veronica's Sister"

Here's a hint for the first boss of the dungeon btw. Use Blunt, because he likes to remove your party's buffs if you have too many.

Now that Erik has Dually Deadly... boss fights turned into focusing everything on keeping him doing optimal damage while having everyone stay alive.

i played through the bosses with Hendrik/Sylvando, Serena, Rab and Erik. With Hero coming in to Omniheal when needed (all multitarget heals apply to everyone, even backline)

I dont really like how Erik plays, and it feels like the bosses can clear buffs often because the devs anticipated Erik spam. Doesnt matter though, I got through it.

I already know what happens next. Ill pick up where I left off tomorrow.

Idk, this part of the game feels awkward, because it still feels like the game expects you to do things in a certain order, but since you're not on-rails anymore, you won't know where you're supposed to go.

Like I've gotten my ass handed to me by bosses in Octagonia and Phnom Nohn pretty handily even though the actual dungeon monsters weren't super hard.

I finished the game last year, it was an alright game, but not nearly as good as everyone was making it out to be. Lot of backtracking and some plots that just didn't make any sense.

Ah. I read your comments like you beat that area. Well the post game starts out fun. Ive been told to keep following the plot instead of straying off for side quests, but there are some places Id absolutely recommend going after you do 2 boss fights and ride Cetecea to where the game suggests you go

- Puerto Valor for a quest that opens up Sylvandos and Eights final skill trees
- Angri-La for a quest that boosts Rabs stats (I think it was Magical Might)
- Havens Above to get quests that boost Serenas Mending (I think this is the only of the 3 I cant recommend doing yet, because it requires going to a combat area and potentially fighting one of the high level bosses) and Eights Blind Man Biff (do this quest and Rabs at the same time because both require a trip to the Royal Libary)

I believe theres also a quest to upgrade something for the Luminary too but Im pretty sure you have to do the latter 3 quests first
