Its forced Water elemental which blows. You can customize better things. Granted, FFX is piss easy so it doesnt really matter.

it's a shame you never get to see most of the weapon models in that game, some of them are pretty cool. missed opportunity in the remaster to not also be able to pick a weapon skin along with customizing the skills on them

It'll take you really far once it gets upgraded if you don't care about customizing. You definitely don't need to customize to beat the game at least.

It's one of if not the best weapon in the main story if you don't customize your own weapons.
It is literal trash compared to anything you customize yourself. Which are in turn pretty bad compared to the ultimate weapons. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

The Brotherhood is great when you get to the Thunder Plains. Unless Tidus has a better weapon with Water Strike, I'd suggest using it for any fiends weak to water.

For Tidus there's only four weapons that matter in a normal playthrough: Stunning Steel (buy from O'aka), the capture sword customized with First Strike (use the Return Sphere from Biran/Yenke), an AP gaining weapon, and the celestial weapon. Once customization becomes reasonably doable it's not good at all, but it'll get a ton of mileage before then.
