Probably havent bought a physical game in store in probably over 10 years. But yeah, is it true that they have shady practices towards customers as well as their employers?

I also heard about that arcade/tabletop direction they are taking. lol im really not seeing how its supposed to help. are they going to charge to hang out there or even pester patrons constantly to buy something?

They're not, as individual stores. Apparently they're pretty hard on their employees though.

Nope. I haven't been badgered over my rewards card or protection plan in years. I was asked once if I wanted to renew it because I saved like $70 in 2017 but I said no because I only really buy one new game every few months now. And that was the end of it.

It's shit. Trade ins are a scam and undercut publishers and developers, and the prices are awful.

If you don't have a proper mom n' pop then you're SoL and stuck with that, I guess.

I never had a big problem with GameStop. People expect so much money for games they decide to trade in, they probably want like $30 for NBA2K or a CoD title from like 4 years ago that nobody else wants. It's a stupid complaint.

I've bought games elsewhere for 20$ and then went to GameStop months later and got 20$ trade in for them. That was pretty cool

I dont know if they are as bad as people say to customers. but they seem to be very bad to their employees. I follow a guy on youtube who used to work for them and told his hellish story and then got fired. and he still gets harrassed by gamestop to this day. even though he no longer works for them. they even got him fired from his next job

he was working at some contract company that does supplies for walmart I think. and people at gamestop called up his boss and told them he's a guy with a history of badmouthing companies he works for (even though it was just 1 company)

and then his boss called him in and asked if he was planning to make youtube videos about them too. he said not unless you give me a reason. and then the boss fired him

so I guess they gave him a reason. funny thing is, he actually didn't really badmouth them, other than to admit they fired him for no reason. so they shouldn't have fired him. dude's beef is just with gamestop

I bought a used PS3 slim for 119$ and it was clean and is my main music server. Adios Gamestop thank you.
