yes, i did it a few months ago and got the promotion officially (takes time) about 2 weeks ago. I have monthly "1 on 1's" with my boss, and I was really just blunt and asked, "when am I being promoted?"

When I used to work for companies before branching off to forn my own small business, I never needed to ask for a raise. I... just get .. them because I don't fuck around. when I get in workmode and the micromanagement noticed that and put in the good word for me.

My old boss and I had weekly 1:1s and he would ask about my goals and map out a plan on what I needed to do to get there, so it was always an ongoing conversation. When it came time, he asked me to do a write up of my achievements that year and be put me up. Gave me a 20% raise without me asking for it.
