Just append ?single=1 to the end of the URL when you're on the guide's first page and it ought to work:
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps/197343-final-fantasy-viii/faqs/72431?single=1 To recollection it breaks link functionality somehow, and maybe other things, but otherwise should work. Obviously it's also a bad idea to use it on large guides like that one, unless you're willing to let the massive thing load.
