Not sure why a bunch of unemployed virgins think their opinions matter about what's "too much" to spend on a wedding, but whatever. Not sure why you're so salty you gotta insult randos without provocation, but whatever. Mine only cost about 15k, we picked out a smaller venue and keep the guest list short. I would have preferred to save that money for other things still, lol --- The Legend is True! ... Copied to Clipboard!

We had a normal average church wedding for $2-3,000. it's been a while, I don't remember exactly. >_>
Talented people my wife knew basically did a fancy cake and food at cost, but I can't imagine it all costing 10x that like it apparently does. We also just used the church's annex instead of renting a fancy hall for the reception. I've been to/been in some really, really neat, fancy weddings with really cool receptions at a fancy place but like... its just one day and then its over and you don't really think about that aspect of the day that much after its over... of course I'm saying that as someone from a middle class family that married into a poor/middle class family and didn't really have any other feasible options... --- ... Just to clarify are you referring to the ceremony alone with the celebrant/official/religious leader or the full thing with the reception (sit down meal)? the whole deal if you can --- When was the last time you heard your boy Nas rhyme? Never on schedule but always on time ... Copied to Clipboard!

I paid a couple hundred for the marriage licence and the justice of the peace to perform the marriage. Didn't cost me the 20k-30k all the other people spend on venues, photographers etc.... . . . how much is a photographer? --- When was the last time you heard your boy Nas rhyme? . . . how much is a photographer? Significantly more than you'd expect. On one hand of the spectrum you could potentially get a freebie from someone trying to break into the industry to build up their portfolio/CV/experience (not recommended as your sole photographer though). On the other hand, as you add backups/second photographer so you don't miss coverage, and also a videographer if you want video, it adds up very quickly. Then there's processing, same day edits, photoshop/touch-ups, preparing an album, etc... At least in Sydney, it came to around $4-6k depending on options you chose with 2 photographers and 1 video. --- If you can understand this, I'm 2/cosC for you. ... Copied to Clipboard!

[LFAQs-redacted-quote] Depending on where you live, a photographer can run anywhere as low as the $500 range for a shitty one, to a few thousand for a good one, to even $5000+ if you get these guido teams with drones and shit. My wife and i spent $2000 on our photographer, and regret nothing. My advice on photography: find a private artist who does their own work instead of these big fancy photo companies. They'll be a little cheaper, and they're nicer to deal with. Additionally, photos are the one thing you don't want to skimp on since at the end of the day it's the only thing you have left after the wedding. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
