To satiate my 2D Zelda appetite since LA remake got me in the mood but can't afford it lol. I beat the first dungeon, had some neat gimmicks. Pretty good so far.

Yeah it's really pretty and colorful, seems like they took a lot of inspiration from the WW, with the music as well. I liked the psuedo-3D in the barrel. I'm pretty nostalgic for that era of visuals lol

I only remember the first dungeon (barely) and the bear hands power up.

Also the entire game is the origin story for Links hat that nobody asked for, fufufufu

But I remember liking it

IIRC, there's a missable (possibly 2) in the game. If you want, I'll tell you the one I remember.

Beat the second dungeon. Kinda short but still enjoyable, I'll take quality over quantity. I like how the items are unconventional so far instead of the stereotypical ones, even if their uses are limited.

Nah it's fine, I'm not much of a completionest regardless.

It's a very fun game. It's the evolution of both the style of ALttP and the style of LA/Oracles (not to say it's necessarily better than those games overall, but it advanced the styles).

The director is actually Fujibayashi, who's the current director of the series. He's always made game with spectacular items. That gust jar for example was something we hadn't seen before, with multiple ways to use it for both combat and puzzles, and it's used frequently throughout the whole game. It's always been his strongest point.

Also, if you're interested in Cadence of Hyrule, Minish Cap is definitely the game it most resembles in terms of gameplay.

One of them is a portal you unlock via fusing Kinstones, located south of the castle town, that takes you near the second-last(IIRC) dungeon way before you get to enter it.

No, this isn't for sequence-breaking.

When you get there, you'll see a sick old man suffering from a ghost's curse or something. Suck the ghost up with your Gust Jar to get rid of it and the old man will reward you with a ton of Mysterious Shells.

Much later on, by the time you actually get to tackle that dungeon, if you visit the man again he's fully recovered, and he rewards you again, this time with the Light Arrows. However, if you didn't cure him by this time then he's dead from the curse and therefore you get no Light Arrows, which is why that's a missable.

I can't remember what the other missable he's talking about is though.

Oh I stumbled across that dude but didn't think to use the gust jar, I'll go back there and do that. Thanks!

He's a real good director then. Also Cadenece was a blast.

It's the best Zelda game because it's made by Capcom.

I didn't think I would like it but I actually really enjoyed it. Didn't have many dungeons but they made the most of what they had and the items and bosses were all interesting and impressive imo... plus those cloud area maps had my all time favorite rendition of the main LoZ overworld theme. The sky dungeon was amazing and the boss was a fucking adrenaline rush.
