....never have?
Like in GLOW the one wants the one girl to really please her orally and goes into detail about it.
You would NEVER EVER see a show where a guy talks about that about his girl.

Last Of Us II, would a trailer for a video game ever start with a 18 year old boy going on a scale of 1 to 10 how owuld you rate our kiss?
And if it did people would call it corny.

I am fine by the way with gay couples in media, The Walking Dead did it absolutley fine.

There is a word for it, but I don't know what it is. It's like they feel like they have to make it extra special to show how progressive they are. They can't seem to make it natural

Coz Hollywood still doesn't know how to portray anyone except straight white people as anything other than a stereotype

A lot of directors, writers, etc. continue to be the same upper middle class white men they have always been. They shove diversity in front of a camera if they think it will help appeal to their target demographic, but they rarely actually care about trying to accurately represent a group. People don't notice who is in the writers room or directing, so they don't comment much on it.

Just from a quick Google search:
https://womenintvfilm.sdsu.edu/research/

Across broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms, female characters comprised 45% of all speaking characters, up from 40% in 2017-18. Behind the scenes, women accounted for 31% of all creators, directors, writers, executive producers, producers, editors, and directors of photography. This represents an increase of 4 percentage points from 27% in 2017-18. By role, women made up 25% of creators, 30% of executive producers, 40% of producers, 35% of writers, 26% of directors, 21% of editors, and 5% of directors of photography.

I couldn't find one with stats like that on minorities.

That makes sense though considering one of the characters spent the past two seasons coming to grips with her sexuality.

If anything it's more realistic to show a couple being open about how to please each other than a straight couple defaulting to knowing how to please each other automatically.

Like I get forced natures and writers not understanding how to portray miniority characters. But Jenji Cohen and the people she works with do a far better job at it than others in the business.
