I've had a bunch of instances over the past... a while now... where the wire has been strained when I've moved around with headphones on and it took a toll eventually. The wire got compromised and I switched it up so that the damaged end was the end in my computer and not in the headphones. This prolonged the wire's life. Last night though, I fucked up and got up suddenly without taking the headphones off and shit was done after that :(

I tried to prolong the inevitable with duct tape but that didn't work. If I pressed hard on the wire into the jack, I could get normal audio but as soon as I let go, audio died on the right side. These headphones are the jack on both sides kind so the headset itself was fine, it is just the wire that's done. Still, when I looked it up, the company that makes them is based out of China and the website is redundant, useless and probably partially blocked since I'm in the US (thanks, trump). In any case, the site was fucking useless and I can't just call/email and get a replacement wire like I've done with previous headphones.

I assumed I was going to have to buy new headphones which would be annoying because it's only the wire that's fucked... but then I had an idea to check around my apartment because maybe I had extra wires with the the right sized jack pieces? I dunno how that shit works. In any case, I never threw out my last headphones that broke and they actually broke because of the headset and not the wire, so I took that wire and tried it out. It worked. Headphones back in business. The only loss is that I don't have a mic on them, but the mic feature never worked properly anyway so fuck it. Crisis evaded. Cool story bro (boring story in the end)
