90's had Twin Peaks as groundbreaker, Late 2000's has Game Of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Wire, and tons of other shows that stray away from typical cop dramas and family sitcoms. Take off the nostalgia goggles.

80s and 90s were the best. Early 2000s had it's moments, but everything started going downhill in 2003.

Among premium offerings and traditionally cable bound channels, by and large, yes, easily.
