Kinda sucks that they dont have the custom game mode where you can assign a force to each territory

I did a few debates in first game, pretty funny how ignore is a tactic

Debates and duels suck in the base game: its very hard to win if you have less INT/WAR, even if its just one point.

I remember being able to put custom officers in specific cities but tbh I don't know if you can with the regular ones. IIRC using ignore first basically sets you up to win by limiting their options

He Jins force showed up at one my my lower cities, basically was a massacre because I couldnt get anyone there in time

I'm still a bit confused on how to move forces around and etc and send officers to other cities

Yeah you basically have to plan out your conquering and ally with surrounding countries so you can create forward bases that force your enemies into cities where you troops are stationed

Moving officers I forget really cause it's been forever since I played it but I remember having to suggest to rulers about moving them. I'm sure it's easier if you yourself are a ruler right now as I think you are. That was the first Romance I played since I think PSOne and I was clueless in the beginning since it doesn't do a very good job of explaining things

Oh God I managed to capture a city and the guy sent an army two seconds later ten times my size

XI was really good, though I got tired of building up every city the one right way, because conquering a city instantly destroyed 90% of its buildings.
I had one of my best RoTK experiences playing as Dong Zhuo in the Yellow Turban Rebellion: He Jin fortified the living hell out of Chang An, so when I invaded, it turned into a months-long battle with me and him sending in reinforcements. Luo Yang was relatively lightly defended, so I took it. I already had recruited Lu Bu and absent-mindedly hired Wang Yun. Since I controlled the Emperor, it immediately triggered the assassination of Dong Zhuo, and I click to play as Lu Bu over Guo Si, only to find that Wang Yun and Diao Chan are the only officers Lu Bu has and Guo Si has everything else.
It was so hilarious I wasn't even mad.

Don't be intimidated by big armies coming for you. You can take them down by controlling the battle yourself (Well as long as your officers aren't outmatched >_>)

I've only tried one battle controlling the armies, I got stomped but it was a numbers issue

I'll go through a round easy to figure everything out
