It'll be useful for parents with 2 or 3+ kids who each want to play Pokemon or Animal Crossing but one switch isn't enough for them. Which was a problem I was wondering about from the start.

$400 for two switches instead of 600.

how many times do i have to tell you? there are no joycons in the switch lite. and the joycon drift only happens when they are detached from the console.

You know what I meant, the analog controls in the Lite.

Chances are they're not changing too much about the actual guts aside from fusing them with the actual console, although I wouldn't mind a tear down proving me wrong on this

I was gonna get a Switch Lite but then I saw it makes it hard or impossible to play some of the games. also the new remodeled normal Switch model actually has better battery life than the Lite does.

personally, I don't really get the point of the Lite, if it's supposed to be focused on handheld portable play and yet.....it has an inferior battery

No, I already have a Switch, and I use both dock and handheld depending on the game. I honestly don't think there was a point to Switch Lite, imo. It's a redundant, cash grab item.

aren't the Switch controllers notoriously finicky? Why would you want them permanently fastened to the console? What if they suck?

if you are already investing in a new console, I think saving $100 at the expense of a bunch of features and battery life, is not worth it

maybe there will be a New Lite, in a year, that has a bettery battery. it might be worth it then maybe

The features aren't that important aside from streaming to TV. I never play with 2 joycons and I never use tabletop which are the 2 of the "big 3" features lost. And honestly I can't see any grown ass men being upset about it unless they have kids.

yea but you left out the part about the battery. really that's the main issue for me. the Lite simply has an inferior battery to the New Switch

I actually plan to play almost exclusively in hand held mode. but I am pretty sure I will get a New Switch. just cause the battery is better. It seems insane to me that the Lite has less battery life but.....it is is what it is

Of course there will. There will be a Switch Liter next year and then a Switch Litest the year after that with their marketing strategy being "It's the same size as a DS but it's not a DS because it's a Switch." And people will run out to buy it.
