This topic is completely about sex work. That they stream games is kind of incidental, so I don't know why game censorship is being brought up, because that's not the issue Twitch has with the streamers. You can definitely stream boob games on Twitch (as long as they don't have full on nudity). The game censorship thing feels like a red herring, especially since I never mentioned anything about it.

I think that it's an intersection of anti-sex work activists and the typical right-wing hate movements found basically everywhere in gaming. Anti-sex work activists largely occupy the aged-tenure ivory tour residing part of the humanities in academia, so I doubt they know much about Twitch, but they definitely influence the discourse and create justification for opposition to sex work. The hatred for sex doesn't really exist where I live so I don't encounter it outside the internet. Boobs are life here. We've got the annual boob grabbing charity event.

I am not bothered by kids being exposed to sex. You see porn mags with explicit pictures readily viewable in every convenience store and sex is used to sell everything here. It doesn't even remotely bother me.

I sometimes go to hostess clubs with my boss here and he pays extreme amounts of money to have beautiful young women talk and drink with us. He doesn't consider it exploitation, his wife doesn't care, my girlfriend doesn't care (she goes sometimes too actually). The idea that sexuality is inherently evil and women wanting money in exchange for sexual services is wrong, while any other economic transaction of a want for money is somehow okay just doesn't hold water with me, sorry.

Most people work, have hobbies, drink casually, have sex, etc. without any one of those things being all their life is about. Not only did you misrepresent what I said, you also called my girlfriend my wife and assumed we don't make each other happy. We're very happy and enjoy hobbies together and our sex life with each other. There is no lack of satisfaction that a hostess club needs to fill. It's simply a fun thing to do sometimes (and my boss is paying, so why not). Feels like you are trolling to be honest, but it's so hard to tell a lot of the time. But no I did not proudly proclaim kids should be exposed to sex. I said kids being exposed to sex doesn't bother me. I would be much more concerned about violence. Violence harms people, sex feels good. I would much rather find out my high school kid had sex with another student consensually than got into a violent fight with another student.

Twitch protects it's money makers and visciously goes after anyone who tries to call them out on their bad behavior.

Amoranth dropped the N bomb and showed her V on stream recently and she only got a temp ban, or example. Hell, the larger ones even have bragged about how they're above the rules, how they know certain twitch staff who will have their back no matter what, and so far those claims have been proven true.

You see these camgirls coming over to twitch because it's easy money. The site slowly going in that direction the past couple of years really sucks. Not because I have a problem with those kinds of streams, it just doesn't belong on the platform, it pushes the overall culture into certain trends that shouldn't happen.

Twitch mods were probably given a flat quota by amazon to ban sexual streamers, but instead of targeting exclusively sexual streamers they targeted borderline streamers; maybe to make a dumb point about how much is too much or something.
