Too much concrete I guess

One of those problems that seems like reality just being an absolute dick over it actually being a logical problem that would normally exist

Obviously the ethernet port on my laptop is broken, because why would it be working!?

Is this a router provided by your ISP? I have historically found they're made by brands that I have never heard of and look like they were put together as part of a high school shop project that would have earned to the student a low B.

First question I ask people when they're looking for a router is if their current one is provided by their ISP.

You could probably buy a $40 unknown brand router and still get better coverage.

The router probably is absolute garbage, because why would it be a quality product

Pretty sure we have to use that specific one since it's fiber though...

I think you can get wifi signal boosters or whatever it's called. you put it further away I think from the modem and router, and it picks up the signal and then boosts it to the rest of the apartment or whatever area you want further coverage of the signal

Ok so I think the modem is anchored to the living room (fiber connection), but the router isnt. Is that correct?

The router actually does look like a toy

modems are usually inside computers. the connection goes to your router not your modem.
