(no space after commas because character limit)

Anyway, what I mean is - totally not understanding why you wanted that thing. I am not talking about just losing interest in something because you got it, this is something that happens a lot (very obvious when seeking a relationship for example)

I just can't stop and think about it. I just can't look back and explain to myself why I wanted a Link's Awakening remake.
I first read about it 2? years ago or something, before WarioWare Gold was officially announced. It was leaked in a 4chan post. And in another post, someone "leaked" a Link's Awakening 3DS remake with the graphics of ALBW
I have no idea why, but it hyped the hell out of me. It was my most anticipated potential remake ever (well, behind DPPT remakes I guess)
Now when it was announced as a Switch remake with it's own unique artstyle...I was hyped for the first 30 seconds, and then..nothing
At first I thought it was because of the artstyle. But now I am over it and I still don't see what reason for me to buy this
It's a 1:1 remake with just better graphics, and I consider the original graphics to be perfectly fine

Did I just expect something else? maybe I expected them to do more than just 1:1 remake it, I dunno
This is just a pointless remake like the Bowser's Inside Story remake was :/

Anyway this topic is just not about LA, I am legit curious if this something happened to other people here with other things
It's a weird feeling

Sounds like you were hoping for more than a straight up remake. The fact that you only lost interest after seeing the trailer means that you had a sense of wonder in not knowing what new content they would add. Turns out the new content (dungeon building) doesn't appeal to you. I'm excited that it gives a new generation a chance to play the best Zelda game.

As for topic point, I think it's just called having high unknown expectations.
