I've never left my home state in 35 years and don't want to. I don't have any incentives to travel.

I don't like to "explore things" nor care about culture. I already eat ethnic food already. I can't think of ONE positive thing about traveling to another state let alone country. I don't have a passport anyway lol

Me neither, I know a guy that was gonna go to Texas and he was gonna be there the day of the shooting, but decided to cancel last minute. It's shit like that that makes me never wanna leave my home state, no matter how low the chances of that happening maybe.

I've been all over the world and I can understand where you're coming from

99% of travelers go to a hotel/hostel. Eat at a local restaurant. Walk through town and see a church. They get on a bus and go to the local attraction. They zipline and snorkle and buy things. They never actually DO anything

If you have a reason to go to a place people don't "travel" to, it's a life altering experience

I kinda feel the same. Travelled a bit. Not into long airplane flights. It's the same place if visiting big cities. Unless going on exploration which I have no desire. You see a lot of it on TV. Good enough for me. I'm boring like that.

Same with camping. Have no desire for it and I live in a small town. Putting a tent in the backyard is good enough. Not into doing my business or cooking in a camp fire.

I don't really get the appeal myself. At least not in the long-distance sense.

I like going to the beach, or the mountains, maybe a theme park, but I have no idea why I would ever go to a different continent, or even a different country.

I can see Moscow or Paris on the Internet, lol.

I agree, there's the internet, TV and video games. There is nothing NEW to do that I can't do already.

Besides, I hate culture and museums and walking around.

I used to travel. And in theory I would like to see many places but as I have gotten older I get stressed out more often and suffer more anxiety. And I don't think I could handle an international trip

I haven't even left my state in over 2 years.

New York!

that explains it.

I'm not a "traveler" but I occasionally leave the state due to education purposes. Ex. Next month, a co-worker and I, are going to Indianapolis for 2 days, for the Annual AMTA Massage Convention. Neither of us have been to one, and we got the opportunity to go.

Recently within 2 weeks of each date, I was in Florida for a Conference for my job, then a week and half later I was back in Florida for Vacation. Flew the first time, and drove the second time.

New york, no desire to go to that hole.

Never really considered traveling places until recently, going to chicago next month to meat up with some overwatch friends and play in a tournament, pretty excited for that. So I would say I don't really think about traveling unless I'm like meeting up with people or going for an event or something, traveling just to explore or have new life experiences or something is too expensive to be doing unless I have a reason really important to me to go

or something idk

I think traveling once in awhile is good just to experience other places outside of your own for a few weeks. Problem i have with traveling is the scams from street hustlers and the trouble of finding people to travel with on the same schedule as you.

Going out to the mountains for camping is the extent of the traveling I actually want to do at any given time. I will travel to other places so I can show my kids the world despite me not really being interested in it.

I kinda sorta agree. I do live close to the border of my state, so I don't mind going to the next kinda big city over to do some shopping once in a while, or traveling to another city within an hour or two within my own state. But even doing things like that is kinda stressful (although still worth doing for me once in a while), but I don't really have much interest beyond that.

Not that I never have traveled any more than that, obviously. Some longer trips as a kid with parents and even some as an adult myself, but yeah I don't really enjoy it much. All I really kinda sorta would maybe do again is go down to a cabin in the Smoky Mountains. We've done that a few times and it's not horrible.

Nice, going to Zion?

That's our first stop

Tomorrow Angels Landing (hoping the crowds aren't bad)

Thursday we're hiking the narrows and then going out to Bryce Canyon to set up for the night and maybe do a trail or two there

Friday is a road trip down scenic highway 12 to The Arches and then up the Salt Lake City

Saturday is checking out Bear Lake and Bloomington lake and then make the trip back into Vegas to return home Sun.

Not quite a week, but the original trip had to be cut down some. On the plus side I get Mon and Tues to do absolutely nothing

It's funny because the moment you say you don't like traveling those who do start calling you boring. I know where you're coming from TC pay no attention to them the reason they're traveling is because they're bored themselves and are looking to find escape from it for awhile. Personally I rather work.
