I finally went and saw WALL-E with my girlfriend the other night, and it was an amazing movie. I think I liked the tone of the first half more than the second half, but I still loved the entire thing. The short film (with the magician and the rabbit) at the beginning was utterly adorable and hilarious, too.

Anyway, my girlfriend also really loved the movie, so that was good news. Any movie that can make you want to laugh (not just chuckles, but actual laughter), cry, and genuinely care about the characters (the fact that they made a convincing love story about two robots is a testament to Pixar) is a winning combination. Plus, it's not very long, so neither of you should get very antsy.

The moral of the story: WALL-E is the absolutely perfect date movie. If you're looking for something to do with a girlfriend or boyfriend (assuming if you haven't seen it already, of course), I really can't recommend this movie enough.

Of course, I should add the disclaimer that movies aren't exactly ideal for first dates (unless you also do something else where you can actually get to know each other, like dinner and a walk afterwards or something), so this may really only be helpful to those who are currently dating someone.

I think this is still part of his character, a new gimmick, the flashback gimmick. Hes pretending its 2008 and he just saw Wall E in the theaters
