To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Atheism. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Atheist's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Atheism truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Atheist's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Richard Dawkins' genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Atheism tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid

It depends, atheism can be a broad stance

Do you say you dont know wtf is out there?

Or you specifically believe that there is now god?

Simulation theory is growing, is that atheism?

Many scientists have had to fake being religious. Especially if we are talking about scientists from 40+ year ago

So... does it make sense to acknowledge that complexity and then decide "hmm, well now I should pick a religion based on the deity that I think is most likely to have created the universe based on... whatever arbitrary criteria..." and pick one?

Or does it make sense to just acknowledge the complexity and accept that you aren't going to understand everything within its scope (or even understand the scope itself)?

It just seems illogical to me to go "how the universe is so complex and there is so much we don't know and no way it could all be due to random chance and must be some design... ...of this one specific deity from this one specific religion which explains everything in this text here." Like... I don't see how a logical person would leap from point A to point B there >_>

uuuuggghh

This makes no sense. It never has. It never will. Unless you have a whole deck of cards to examine the odds of, you can't say how amazing it is to have the Ace of Spades.

How the hell are you even gauging complexity?
