18 years ago on September 11, nearly 3,000 people were murdered. The skyline of NY changed forever. Many families lost someone.
Teachers of Elementary Schools were forbidden to turn the TV's on due to the bodies of people jumping out of the World Trade Center. Many heros died. 2 planes crashed into the "Twin Towers". 1 Into the Pentagon. 1 crashed by 2 men who died heros landed in a field. It changed America in so many ways. Where were you when this occured?

Asleep on the floor in my office...it was damn hot and it had the best AC in the house.

I was asleep on the couch when the news woke me up after the first tower was hit. I still remember watching as the second plane hit.

Being 5, I watched it, thought it was pretty neat, and went back to playing with my hot wheels.

We picked up my older sister early that day and my mom was upset. Then my older sister scolded me on why I should be sad, because I was excited that a big building exploded. "It's a big deal."

I was 11 and had just woken up to get ready for school. Passed by moms room and saw the news broadcast but it didnt really sink in what was happening until later.

At the start of my Biology Lab class. Instructor briefly announced the situation, and asked us to further inform ourselves of the situation after class.

Still ended up going to school but we didnt do anything except watch news coverage. I remember hearing on the radio on the way to school that the pentagon had been bombed and I was genuinely afraid that the entire country was being attacked or invaded.

I was in 6th grade. All they told us was "there was a plane crash in New York City." They also said that some of our parents who worked in New York may be late getting home because there would likely be delays. You see, I grew up in Eastern Pennsylvania, near the New York border, so some kids actually had parents who would commute all the way to NYC for work.

Anyway, I got home after school and saw my dad watching the news. I heard the gist of what happened. I asked him, "is the tower still burning?" And he's like "dude, they both fell down." I was just speechless, not really understanding what he was telling me.
