How have you all been?

Personally, I didn't see the twist in my own life where I would actually get married. Thought I would be destined to be the cool (read: creepy) bachelor uncle to my friends' children.

I was 19 turning 20 in 2010

2010: broke up with high school gf, was really overweight
2011: did drugs all year
2012: finished weight loss (lost 40kg), got my first full time job
2013: moved cities, met my now wife on my first night out in the new city

Since then just been working, saving, etc. Got married last year and we bought our first place this year. Crazy times.

I started to have it in a bad way in 2014. A lot of bad things happened between then and now. I'm trying to recover to somewhat how things used to be, but it's more difficult than I thought that would be.

well, a lot of it is at least partially my fault so I don't really deserve much in the way of sympathy. but I've fallen regardless... trying to pick myself up again from my blunders

Perhaps sympathy isn't warranted, but cheering for a dude who both recognizes and learns from his past and is trying to re-rail his life? Fault or not, I'm all for supporting that.
