I dont know why, but the walkthrough has always kinda been an intrinsic part of the experience of playing the game for me. But Ive been missing out on a lot of the game by strictly following it.

Theres just... so much quirky dialogue hidden around in everything. This really is a great game

I havent played any game in the series

I have a copy of earthbound though and Im not sure what the easiest way would be to play Mother 3 legitimately

When I had an emulator set up I finally played it and dont see why its such a valuable collectors item. Great game, but there are a ton of games that are great that arent worth $900+ USD and more if you have the vehicle air freshener.

Yeah, I feel like most SNES rpgs are super overrated. Even Earthbound, and especially Super Mario RPG.

Even Final Fantasy 6 is kinda meh

Is this game good? I tend to hate turn-based RPGs, as theyre usually pretty awful.

I played through Earthbound last year.
I thought it was a really fun game.

I still gotta play Earthbound Beginnings and Mother 3 though.

Earthbound is incredible.
Super Mario RPG is indeed a bit overrated.
Never played Final Fantasy 6.

Gonna play the fan translation of Mother 3 here soon.

As much as I like Super Mario RPG, it gets kinda repetitive because most of the time youre just using your regular attacks on most enemies because most of the special attacks are kinda useless/weak IMO.

Its still a very charming game though.
I have probably played through the game at least four or five times.

I mean, I kinda agree with it. FF5 was much better.
Earthbound is perfectly rated. It's not underrated anymore by any stretch of the imagination, but on the "overrated" scale, it's on the low end of the bell curve, if at all (with FF7 being on the high end.)
Your taste for SMRPG is a bit garbo though.
