MAJOR SPOILERS BROS. DO NOT CLICK THIS.

It's true form was fucking awesome. A god damn spider clown, plus he was just so good. The strobe in the fight unfortunately made me hallucinate since I have medical sickness for that but well worth it. Best version of IT, even the book, in my opinion.

It was so dumb IMO

I enjoyed a lot of it but I don't think it's very good at all.

Yeah the structure they chose for the two movies sort of fell apart in the sequel. But it managed to be a fun enough ride. That final confrontation just went on and on. I think they could have done that a bit better.

Because the movies are so successful it will never happen but I'd love a proper miniseries that really goes into how fucked up Derry is.

I loved the book. The only part I found questionable was how they escaped the tunnels as children (if you've read it, you know what I'm talking about). Otherwise, everything else just fit into place and didn't break the unnerving, terrifying momentum.

The miniseries scared the tar out of me as a kid, but the ending fell flat. It's been some years since I watched it, so I'm not sure it's aged well and my fondness may be purely nostalgic. This story certainly could use a proper treatment with modern special effects.

But this newest addition felt like two genuinely frightening moments surrounded by a few hours of camp. By the end, I was legitimately looking out for a Bruce Campbell cameo. As for the over-reliance on digital effects to create scares that didn't take themselves seriously, perhaps I could sum that up with a lesson from the late '90s:

CGI != scary

That's my honest opinion.
