Some months ago i just stopped drinking coffee, then i got weird headache and nausea that wont go.

After a while i drank coffee, and it is gone, kinda confirmed i habe caffeine addiction and experiencing caffeine withdrawal.

But fighting it is more pain than it is worth so i will keep drinking coffee.

First, it aint too expensive. Decent beans, good cost like around 10 bucks for 300 gr.

Second. It isn't really bad for you in reasonable amount. I drink1 cup per day of black coffee, sometimes 2. Black coffee isnt that bad. Maybe once or twice a week, i mix it up with milk if i want sweet beverage or blend it if i want something cool.

Dealing with withdrawal is such a pain that it essentially crippled me

Yeah on my week off I don't "need" caffeine as much since I'm not working. But I still have to have some every day or I'm miserable with a major nasty headache

I weaned myself off with green tea.

Two teabags had enough caffeine to get me through the morning.

Eventually went down to one teabag.

Green Tea doesnt have enough caffeine to trigger dependency, at least not for me.

Which is fine. But what you felt is impossible to be withdrawals. Weening yourself down to one cup of coffee isnt gonna have an effect like that. Same thing as you wont have withdrawal from one beer a day. That cup of coffee would need to have a crazy amount of caffeine in it

Recently I got to the point where I was drinking 3-4 sugar free energy drinks a day at work that each had 300mg caffeine in them. So 900-1200mg of caffeine a day.

I had five days off and literally slept for 2 straight days, only waking up to shit, shower, eat, and drink water.

It takes about a week. Then after that week, you can go back to drinking coffee normally, and 1 cup becomes actually enough to wake you up.

Only the first two days really suck. I cut out caffeine entirely for about 3 months last year. First two days massive headaches, then generally fine from there.

I was drinking way too fucking many energy drinks and coffee and knew that shit had to stop.

The only drink you realy should cut out is pop, unless you need to cut caffeine for medical reasons.
