these days, europe is getting americanized more so than the opposite, easily. they watch all of our shows and movies and started eating food that was made popular here

American soft power only really emerged after WWI. Europeans have influenced all the roots of America. From fashion, architecture, the languages (English literally came from Great Britain), the original economic model from Great Britain, liberal democracy that came from Europe, and pretty much all the Founding Fathers had European ancestry. Thomas Jefferson borrowed ideas from France; Alexander Hamilton from Great Britain.

In terms of stuff from abroad entering American culture, that more happens with other parts of the world than Europe. Asia in particular has been influencing US culture lately. but between here and Europe, it's us influencing them I think
