Dailymail has learned that a Pennsylvania Fire Station has been SHUT DOWN INDEFINITELY after the station chief REFUSED to FIRE(no pun intended) a volunteer who has ties to extremist group PROUD BOYS!!

HaverfordTownship were informed by a member of the public on August 12 that the Bon Air Fire Company had a man with far right extremist links lurking among them

David Burman launched an investigation into the allegations and questioned the man who admitted he attended social gatherings hosted by Proud Boys and passed 2 out of 4 stages of the group's INITIATION steps that includes HAZING!!

He told Dailymail that they identified the man but yet publicly name them and was a 6 year veteran who was recently honoured by the fire station

Proud Boys are known as far-right anti-muslim and anti-LGBTQ+ and misogynistic rhetoric who refer to themselves as "Western Chauvenists" who refuse to apologize for creating the modern world and call themselves REAL MEN on their official page

Burman met with officials to discuss the seriousness of the matter and urged them to let the individual go

The Employee OFFERED his resignation but the fire chief REFUSED to accept it citing there was no basis to fire a volunteer's membership

Burman was disappointed by the response and said "The Bon Air Fire Company's failure to address this matter conflicts with the public policy of Haverford Township, which includes ensuring all persons are treated fairly and equally and that all persons enjoy the full benefits of citizenship"..and as of Thursday, they have been RELIVED of duty indefinitely

Neighboring fire companies will now serve the community as the fire chief claims there was no basis that the member's involvement affected his job and that the volunteer claims he is no longer affiliated with the organization and was a "caring" person dedicated to his community and would not have used his personal beliefs to do his job

But Dailymail found his social media page painting a different picture showing him proudly wearing Proud Boys attire and making white power hand gestures and demanding the BAN on muslim and hispanic immigrants.

The Fire company is outraged over the shut down and claims they are now without 37 firefighters in the community of 50,000 residents butonly around 800 live in Bon Air

...lolwut? Or is it a matter that you don't believe in the notion of conquest at all (or that all conquest is theft)? Because there were a lot of armies and battles involved. And the colonial powers as well as the US government wouldn't have got away with any of the shit it did if not for military power.

Maybe it's me, but "conquered" to me just has the connotation of a wild, lawless (and unclaimed) land becoming occupied and civilized. "Stolen" is much less vague.

Probably because there was no legal reason to fire him. There are likely something like union or tenure protections in place that prevent him from being fired willy nilly due to a simple disagreement, but the person in charge still had the legal authority to close down the station completely.

I mean he only 'used' to be part of the group right?

I mean people at work reveal they used be in gangs or ex-convicts all the time and they arent being fired or having their place of business shut down due to their presence?
