If I had to rank issues that are important to me, it'd be:
1. Domestic Economy (I'm conservative)
2. Healthcare (I'm liberal)
...wide margin...
3. Social Security(I'm conservative)
4. Education (I'm liberal)
5. National Security(I'm conservative)
6. Foreign Policy (I'm liberal)

Somewhere below is Gun control, Civil Rights, and Environment, for which I'm liberal. But those are significantly less important to me than the above issues to the point where I dont even factor it in.

I'm anti nazi so thats what makes it hard to vote for this current republican party. And any local or state elected officials are all puppets of Trump and McConnell, neither of whom are true conservative and are simply looking out for their own self interests.

Maybe I should change that to *good conservatives. But just to start, moscow mitch is basically committing treason by the fact that he blocks election security measures knowing full well that Russia is interfering in the election. Elections are the essence of democracy and the foundation of this country, and McConnell absolutely doesn't give a shit.

FYI, historically the economy has been better under Democrats so the fiscally conservative thing is kinda bunk.

Only thing is that the new age Democrats with the much stronger policies are untested.

I dunno, I guess I haven't looked into it hard enough to discover any good ones. I did like McCain alot, I woulda voted for him. I also liked the original Joe Scarborough, he started off as a republican. I'm also a Kasich fan, in the debates in 2016, I thought he was the most level headed with the best ideas. If I had to vote for anyone NOW, it'd probably be him, but he doesn't have the personality to do it. Romney also isn't terrible. I like Amash as well.

To be honest, any republican who opposes Trump has to have some baseline good in them.

I do believe Democrats create jobs and its overall better for the economy. But whats also important is how much money I'm giving up in taxes every year. If republicans can lower the taxes in my bracket and it results in an extra 10 grand in my pocket every year, then why wouldn't I vote for them. Thats alot of money.

They're not going to. The majority of their tax deductions go to the very wealthy. You'll get a grand or two from Republican tax cuts at best at the expense of a failing economy. You'll lose more off the stock market drop than you'll gain from the tax cuts.

I cant believe Im quoting Joel but ya, this.

Its not that youre interested in a better economy/lower deficit/tax reform. Youre just more interested in the perks conservatives give to anyone above the ~150kish line. Nothing wrong with that but it is pretty important to the discussion.

Trump tax cuts weren't even 1% for your income bracket and it costed the government trillions of dollars. If you invest at all, you would gain a lot more money from your investments than from your tax cuts.

True, I do plan to invest although I'm not big in investing right now. I'm not a hardcore conservative by any means. And as much as I would enjoy the extra couple thousand, theres no way I could vote for Trump. You have to be an idiot to not realize he's crippling this country with pretty much every move he makes.

My problem is that the republican party is led by clowns.

It sounds like you basically align with corporate Democrats like Biden, Harris, Obama. Much of those view points are directly contrasting to the Republican platform which is why you probably dont really identify with any candidates
