I killed a squirrel by accident once. that's all I can think of. it was crossing the road and saw me, so it turned back like they normally do (or they speed up to cross in time). but right as I was about to pass it after it ran back onto the grass, it ran forward again into my car

Thankfully no, but i've come very very close several times. I either manage to stop, swerve or the animal stopped under the car but I didn't hit it.

I swear where I live there's a possum and armadillo infestation. I see them dead on the road all the time, and i've ran over both on multiple occasions. I've also gotten a squirrel, like mentioned above, they will cut and run toward the grass, and last second think it's a better idea to try and run under the car. Not the smartest things in the world.

I've hit a couple of squirrels over the years. Maybe one or two other small varmints. Worst was when I totalled my car when I hit a deer. It was still drivable, but the body damage was more than the value of the car.
