Just be honest and say that Fire Emblem's over representation makes you think there's too many swordsmen, because nobody bats an eye at Pit, Cloud, or Link. 1/3 kid Icarus characters do not have swords. 1/2 Zelda charges do not have swords. Cloud is the only one from his game so not really an adequate comparison. There are seven fire emblem characters and all of them have swords. But fire emblem is just one part of a larger problem. Almost all weapons in the game are swords. Guns taking second place. Ice Climbers/Dedede fight with hammers Palutena has a staff Joker has a dagger And that's it. The Gunners are both Samus, Inkling, Bayonetta, Mega Man, Star Fox Trio Every other discrete weapon in the game is a sword. Can you fucking imagine soul Calibur shipping with like 12 swords and 3 non swords?
