Current Events > Just went to a float spa. Anyone else done this?

I was still feeling extra sore after yesterday's workout. I was looking at a play through of Contact on YouTube and the Youtuber mentioned he'd like to try a sensory deprivation tank. I looked it up, and we have at least a couple of these in Austin. They apparently help with stress, soreness, etc., so I decided to try it out.

It was pretty awesome. At this place, they have these big tanks of water that you just float in and it's pitch black once the session starts. There's apparently 1200 lbs of Epsom salt in the water so your body just floats effortlessly.

At first there's a light on inside so you can see, but then it goes pitch black and dead silent while you're floating. One hour later and music starts playing to let you know that time is up.

That was one of the most relaxing experiences I've had... Definitely going to do that again. I paid for a package of 3 float sessions for $120. I'll probably go again next month.

I'm no longer sore and I'm feeling much more relaxed.

I've wanted to use a sensory deprivation tank since I was a child. I had seen some movie where the dude used it and some drugs to evolve into an emlighted blob.

No no I remember. I had a craft beer called salted margarita and lime or something. I complained that it literally tasted like liquid tostitos hint of lime chips. You said something, got moderated, thought it was me and then questioned my sexuality.

I had a good chuckle about it. I just figured you were drunk.

As for acab, him and I share beer pics with each other. No problems there!

I remember that vaguely. I do remember getting busted for a tortilla chip related incident. I think it was the fact hat you highly enjoyed lime flavored tortilla chips.
