I have already put 25 hours into Slay the Spire and the bundle doesnt even release til next week.

Slay the Spire is a Rouge-lite RPG card based game.

Card game may turn you off however I too thought the same. The card aspect is integrated REALLY well and does not slow the pace of the game at all.

What sets this game apart is some really cool intuitive mechanic choices.
FOr instance, every turn you discard your hand and draw five new cards, keeping things fresh every turn. ALL decks are unique to a particular character, for example, the demon soldier uses all these berserker type moves and blood magic, etc.

Playing cards requires you to use energy from a mana pool, kind of like Magic but with only one energy type. Another really cool choice is "intent". Intent is displayed above each enemies head and informs you on what action the enemy is going to take, so you can plan to defend if need be or go all out on attack.

Each battle you win you are rewarded with a new card to add to your deck. And thats another cool thing about this game, there is no deck management. Once you get a card, you are required to use it in your lineup. Unless you pay a shopkeeper for a special card removal service.

The map is FTL style with no option to go backwards and every spot can be an battle, a chest or mystery event in RPG style with choice options.

Lastly, because its a Roguelite of course recovering health is difficult. But every once in a while you get a chance to use a campfire, which will recover 30% of your health or you can instead SMITH. Smithing upgrades a card in your deck for that run.

REALLY fun game with great art and totally worth it.

You pay $12, you get the shown games right away and several more at release. You can't get previous games. As a sub, you will later need to disable payment if the next months revealed games don't look interesting, but the rest are a gamble. They only reveal when the purchase time ends. It is like those mystery box things, just with games. So far, all hidden games are for Steam, except for the Humble Originals, which you get a Steam key for when they release there.

You also get a 5% discount on the Humble Store for all regular purchases. This doesn't apply to bundles or Nintendo purchases though.

If you do sign up for it, find a friend who does it, they can give you a ref link, this gains some money for the other guy and I think also increases the available store discounts.
