ed.

like they behave really smart at least in the difficulty that i play (authentic).

first off, if the enemy spot you, they will come to you, finding covers along the path. they aren't just charging to my line of fire. they actually use the damn environment and try the safest path.

once they are near you, a typical squad spread themselves out, and i actually have enemy circling my position while his friends draw my fire. i died several times from that ambush.

they really duck and run from grenades, so if you use grenades on an open field, it will just make them scatter away breaking your position. however it is also a damn useful tool to flush them out of covers. it makes the use of grenades alot more tactical.

they also holler for their friends in the immediate area or if they heard gunshots or explosions. if you wanna play full stealth, you have to time it with loud noises like airplanes or whatever.

they also actually use stealth to approach you, crouching, bushes, etc. the only instance where they are dumb is with mines. you can't fail with mines.

it's actually pretty damn impressive, especially where they approach you actually utilising covers and circling your position. probably simple to program, as they just programmed to use every object marked as cover, but it make so much difference.

then again i haven't played much shooters lately, and i am too used to dumb new vegas AI that just rush to your machine gun with hammers and knifes.

At least on the difficulty I was playing on, I appreciated the ways in which the AI was predictable. Some people might say that's a bad thing, but in a stealth game where you're setting traps, it's important to be able to have a good idea of how they will respond to a given input. Really satisfying when they run right into one of your tripmines.

Yeah, i love it, kinda like quasi hitman level, you can draw enemy in, just set some tripwires and watch them sploot.

Or when you find sniping tower, clim stairs and set bunch of mines along the way, watch them try to get to you and get splooted while you shoot their other buddies outside.

V2 is actually my least favorite because the levels are kinda small compared to 1,3 or 4. I have played all of the previous title. 4 is definitely the best one. The levels are huge, several multiple obectives, multiple point of entries etc.

SE 4 is actually feels alot more hitman game than the previous one.

Underrated series imo, and there is really nothing like it. (Well you got sniper ghost warrior or something like that, but they apparently suck)

I liked how you could use the artillery barrages as a cover for the sound of your shots to remain undetected.

Some of the scripted events are cool too and they usually ties to side objectives sometimes. The levels contains some cool creative kills that can be hard to pull, but very rewarding when you pull it out. For example in few places in level 1, there are cranes that which rope you can shoot and make it fall on enemy's head. You have to time enemy position. And shoot rope, which is a tiny target.

Alot of sound depending on the level. The coolest one was i think in v3 in a level with thunderstorms. Cool effect while you are figurative thunder snapping enemies's vertebrate with flash of light. I am level 2 in 4 so far it is really fun.

Liked the first one, played the second one until like the third level which was a linear indoor corridor shooter. Why anyone thought that was a good idea in a sniping focused open world game is beyond me.

Yeah, 2 is my least favorite. One level is literally a tunnel, and the other is trench. 3 and especially 4 is are alot more open, with lots of optional vantage positions, multiple entries either by backdoor, climbing, tunnel, etc.
