Tbh I think an issue here is that a lot of this stuff doesn't really pass the Funny Test. Dave feels like a crotchedy old man at this point shaking his fist at a cloud. We get it dude, young people are wacky and are out to cancel you and everybody else. This doesn't make repeating black comedy gags people have been making about Michael Jackson or whatever for years online all that new or exciting (his delivery does carry stuff at times though)

yes. i don't agree with everything that my favorite comedians say. not every single one of their jokes are funny. that's okay. comedy is subjective. i've heard people that were being made fun of personally by a comedian and laugh their ass off, and others get mad.

that's just the way it goes. it's jokes.

Part of comedy is knowing your audience. Chappelle went out of his way to alienate part of his audience. He's allowed to make these jokes, but the fans are allowed to react negatively if they don't like it.

I don't really get people who think that just because something is a joke it means you can't take issue with the premise of the joke. Dave Chapelle is an entertainer, and just like all forms of entertainment his material is open to criticism and analysis. This is how entertainment media works.

That's a false from me and I think comedians also needs to learn how to take criticism, if anything they should be able to take even heavier criticism.
